About ReMatric SA

Who We Are

ReMatric SA is a South African education non profit organisation that supports adults, school leavers, and working individuals to complete their matric as private candidates.

Across South Africa many people leave school before completing matric, while others complete matric but do not achieve the results required to access employment or further study opportunities. For many, returning to education later in life can feel difficult or out of reach.

ReMatric SA exists to support those learners.

Through structured academic support, teacher led lessons, mentorship, and exam preparation, we help learners return to education with confidence and complete their matric while balancing work, family, and other responsibilities.

Our programme operates primarily online, allowing learners from across South Africa to participate.

Our Story

ReMatric SA was founded out of a deep concern about the number of South Africans who carry the burden of incomplete education.

For many people, not having matric closes doors to employment opportunities, further study, and career development. It can also affect confidence and the sense of possibility people feel about their future.

We believe that education should offer second chances.

Matric completion is often the stepping stone that allows people to access employment, training opportunities, and further education. At the same time it can restore confidence, dignity, and belief in one’s own potential.

ReMatric SA was created to support learners who are ready to take that step and complete their education.

Our Vision

To build a South Africa where every person, regardless of age or background, has the opportunity to complete their education, access employment opportunities, and move forward with confidence.

Our Mission

To provide accessible, flexible, and compassionate academic support that enables adults and out of school learners to prepare for and pass the matric exams as private candidates.

ReMatric SA was founded from a belief that access to education should not be limited by age, circumstance, or previous setbacks. The organisation exists to support learners who are ready to return to education and complete their matric.

Our First Cohort

ReMatric SA is still in the early stages of its journey, and in 2026 we welcomed our first cohort of learners into the programme.

These learners come from different backgrounds and life circumstances. Some are young people who left school before completing matric, while others are adults who have returned to education after many years away from the classroom. Many are balancing their studies with work and family responsibilities.

What unites them is a shared determination to complete their education and open new opportunities for their future.

As a young organisation we are learning, growing, and building alongside this first group of learners, and we are deeply committed to supporting them throughout their journey.

Our Commitment

At the heart of ReMatric SA is a commitment to dignity and second chances.

We believe that a person’s future should not be defined by past circumstances or by a moment where education was interrupted. Every person deserves the opportunity to return to learning and complete what they started.

For us, matric completion is not only about passing exams. It is about restoring confidence, expanding opportunity, and helping people move forward with renewed belief in themselves.

We approach our work with patience, compassion, and a deep respect for every learner who chooses to take this step.
